Who We Are
The idea of Fulla Za was created in 2017 while Sam was working at a hospitality farm in Northern California called Emandal. Each Wednesday Emandal would host pizza parties, serving farm-to-table pizza to the guests. Sam was inspired by their creativity in the way they used the vegetables grown on the land, and the positive energy that pizza nights created.
Fast forward 5 years, and Sam has been living on Whidbey Island and working on farms including: Willowood Farm, The Organic Farm School, and Deep Harvest Farms. She created her own farm, Fulla Farm, in 2022.
Some may have said that Sam got “lost in the sauce” with farming. What was supposed to be a two-year dalliance with the basics of farming quickly turned into running her own farm operation.
In 2023, Sam was trying to figure out a way to get herself back to her roots of cooking for her community while still being able to farm. That is when the dream of having a mobile pizzeria floated back to her head. Fulla Za was created. It just made sense.
